He studied with Gianandrea Gavazzeni, Carlo Maria Giulini, Mario Gusella e Peter Maag (Conducting); Aldo Clementi and Franco Donatoni (Composition); Antonio Tonini (Lyrical Theater – Assistant of maestro Arturo Toscanini of the Teatro alla Scala di Milano), with whom he has collaborated, as assistant for seven years.
He is a winner of numerous contests: as pianist: Galatina and Messina contest; as conductor: Treviso Opera House; as a coach conductor: Alessandria Laboratorio Lirico.

TEACHING

He has been a Full Time Professor (vocal coach) for 23 years at Ministero dell’Università “Luisa D’Annunzio” di Pescara, Italy (University of Pescara – Music Departement). He is currently Adjunct Faculty at BYU University (UT) and at UVU University (UT). During his career, he has also taught various master courses throughout Europe.
In 2011, the Royal Conservatory of Brussels (Belgium) invited him to teach a Master class on Italian Opera. He has been a professor at many Academies of lyrical improvement. He worked along side of the music critic Sergio Segalini (Accademia d’Arte Lirica di Osimo) and with the family of the great tenor Mario del Monaco (Accademia di Cagli – Fondazione Mario del Monaco), of the which he has been the musical director.

COURSES TAUGHT

In May 2013, he was invited as a professor to teach a workshop on the Italian Opera at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Also, in that same year, he was invited by the Utah Lyric Opera to conduct Gianni Schicchi by Giacomo Puccini and by the Utah Vocal Arts Academy for a workshop on Italian Opera. In summer 2014 he will conduct Carmen by Georges Bizet for the Utah Lyric Opera. In August 2014 he was invited as a professor (Vocal Coach) to teach on the Fall opera program “Nozze di Figaro” at Brigham Young University. In winter 2015 he conducted The Barber of Seville by Gioachino Rossini for the Utah Lyric Opera. In summer 2016 he conducted Nozze di Figaro for the Utah Vocal Arts Academy.
He teached in others Masterclasses: Westminster College, UVU (Utah Valley University), BootCamp Winter Opera S Louis, NEC (New England Conservatory)      In 2016 he conducted “Così fan tutte” by W.A.Mozart in Winter Opera S. Louis (Missouri). He conducted and played Recitativi the Il barbiere di Siviglia by Rossini in Utah Opera Festival 2018, Così fan tutte by Mozart and Ariadne auf Naxos by R. Strauss in UVAA 2018; Rigoletto by Verdi 2018, and he conducted Così fan tutte by Mozart and La Bohème by Puccini in Opera Vermont 2018.
In 2019 he conducted Die Fledermaus by J. Strauss in UVU University, Le nozze di Figaro in Utah Opera Festival. Opera Orlando (FL) invited him to conduct Le Nozze di Figaro. He conducted La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi in UVU in 2020
His “Joyful” recent CD (Shadow Mountain Records – 2019) was 1° position and 30 weeks on the Classical Bildboard.

In 2022 he conducted La Bohème by G. Puccini in UVU University; Magic Flute by W.A.Mozart in Utah Festival Opera 2022.

In 2023 he conducted Aida by G. Verdi in Utah Festival Opera; Cendrillon by J. Massenet and Così fan tutte by W. A. Mozart in Utah Valley Operafest

He is the Music Director and Principal Conductor of Utah Valley Operafest.

He is currently Full Professor at the Boston Conservatory at Berklee in the School of Opera Studio

Is planned in the near future to conduct an important Oratorio “Dio dell’alleanza” by David Alagna (Music, Nicolas Giusti: Orchestration).
